Hydrotherapy is a form of treatment incorporating water for pain relief and treatment of ailments. Through the use of the water’s properties, hydrotherapy is able to provide support as well as decreasing loads on the body. There are a large variety of methods and techniques for exercising in the water which derive the therapeutic benefits.
These benefits being based on the thermal and mechanical effects on the body that hydrotherapy has.
When you arrive, an initial assessment will take place in the clinic to make sure that hydrotherapy is appropriate and able to achieve the greatest benefit through a hydrotherapy program.
Hydrotherapy can also help improve muscle strength through the pushing the water. It can also improve general fitness in those with arthritis as studies have shown.
